His work was very thorough and he did early creative concept development, he developed the entire design database for production drawings and specifications, and he was involved in verification and validation efforts in support of commercialization and FDA approval. His comprehensive approach to the design challenge resulted in a Sample Processing Center that is very well received by customers, and has been in production since 2005, with no manufacturing problems. The design history file he helped create, has been audited by the FDA and they actually liked it.
