His real strength is in bringing solutions from concept to completion. He can have a problem described to him, and can quickly envision and develop a creative solution to that problem. During our time working together, I have frequently seen Vince look at a production line or at a particular product a customer needed measured and develop a method of using our OptiGauge system to solve the problem. Vince was the main architect in the development of Lumetrics last major product. During the development of that product, he was not only responsible for the hardware development, but also was key to developing the software structure that was implemented. Vince, a very experienced engineer, approaches problems with a systematic, thoughtful approach, quickly digesting a problem and then identifying the source. He works well with a team to come up with solutions and then implement them. A great mechanical designer, he would often develop a concept in a meeting one day and come in with the part the next morning after working in his shop over the night. Vince is a master of his craft, an individual who was able to teach a group of recently graduated engineers some of the real-world structure and solutions that schools do not teach. Vince works extremely hard at his job and is effective as a team leader and team member. With his team, Vince brought processes and simple procedures that made the Applications Engineering group that he was responsible for run more smoothly.
