Text Box: Vincent T. LaManna’s Resume/Portfolio
Text Box: "As the Patent Attorney for our employer, Datalogic (formerly PSC Inc.) I had the privilege of working with Vince in obtaining patents on several of his numerous ingenious inventions, as well as on others by the design team inspired and lead by him. Vince is strong-willed, bluntly honest, and does not sugar-coat unpleasant news, but he does so in a way that merits the respect of others and makes him easy to get along with. I enjoyed seeing Vince think "outside the box" in designing a world-beating device designed, mass-manufactured, and put into boxes that could be – and were – sold all over the world by our gifted sales colleague, Rick Stathes (who happens to be another of Vince’s recommenders.) Vince was instrumental in the growth of the company from only slightly larger than its garage beginnings to a word-class 250M+ world-class manufacturer. As a former NYU Professor who taught "Valuation of Intellectual Property", I confidently assure the reader that that Vince’s designs have undoubtedly brought in hundreds of millions of dollars to Datalogic (PSC). If you give Vince an engineering problem, and the necessary support, he will get you a solution – more likely a range of solutions – which will exceed your expectations, not to mention the efforts of others. If you, the reader, bought any retail items this week, it is a virtual certainty that their bar codes were scanned by a scanner designed by Vince LaManna. Let me put it bluntly: Vince LaManna is a damn good engineer, and I would advise anyone considering hiring Vince LaManna to do so without hesitation. /Joseph F. Murphy/, Esq., Intellectual Property Counsel for MOVAIC, INC.; former Vice President of Intellectual Property and Patent Counsel for PSC, Inc. (now Datalogic)" September 14, 2009
