The flats allow use of wrench. This item allowed for a quick repeatable means to flow cylinder heads. Text Box: Fixtures/Tools Text Box: Details: I initially started out trying to make then from readily available hardware. The way this works is the thread has a pitch/lead of .05in, the bottom portion has set screws which fasten to the Valve Guide on the head, the top portion has set screws which fasten to the tip of the valve stem.
