Text Box: Valve Adjuster initial design (Inventor)
Text Box: Results: I machined these parts from 6061 Aluminum and single point cut the threads on each part (internal & external). The flats allow use of wrench. This item allowed for a quick repeatable means to flow cylinder heads.
Text Box: Valve Quick Adjuster (for use in cylinder head flow bench work)
Text Box: Scope: Needed to have a means to open a valve to a specific position and at specific know increments during Cylinder Head Flow Bench testing.
Text Box: Fixtures/Tools
Text Box: Details: I initially started out trying to make then from readily available hardware. The way this works is the thread has a pitch/lead of .05in, the bottom portion has set screws which fasten to the Valve Guide on the head, the top portion has set screws which fasten to the tip of the valve stem. They will provide for .550 valve opening. Each full turn opens or closes the valve .05 in.
