I worked in a small "skunk works" R&D group where I was responsible for most everything seen here, Plastic Housing design, PCB Layout, Molded Optics, Flex Circuits. This product was to be used in very rugged environments, needed to survive a 6ft drop onto concrete floor and still work. Mirrors were plastic injection molded to 1/4 wave flatness in localized areas. Again simple open and shut tooling which was the first 3D product design the company had and tooling for Housings were mostly generated with a paperless system. The project was a huge success and laid the ground work for many future quick to market products. My name is on a number of patents with regards to these products.
